There's been some new people coming to town lately, just a handful, but its been nice to see people's spirits higher. It's given me more time to think about my own life and what I want to accomplish, and then I remembered...
Monsoon season is coming back around, and I realize I haven't even revisited the mapping idea. I've just been too busy. So here, I'm going to lay some things out, so I can be held to this.
I talked to the historian to get more info and he drew a map but then didn't let me keep it so here's my best impression + my own add ons because there's so many offshoot tunnels not even in the plans if you were to look at it from a birds eye view. I'm going to wait until after July to go, but it'll be an adventure! I'm only going to tackle a few tunnels for my first go, and I'll just slowly piece something together

Yui: I talked to the historian again. Apparently the reason its laid out in so many directions was because of constant searching for ore veins! The mine really needed to make this endeavor worth it to have any chance of competing with railroad establised businesses. Whiiiicchh led to bad working conditions, lots of deaths, and risky investment in equipment. The company basically just really needed this mine to work out because they were capitalizing on the westward movement of american settlers and the mining craze (gold rush) and the need for copper and all that by churning out as much as possible even if it really was a.. Well . Chaotic operation to say the least. There used to be a forest on the mountain, until the company chopped it down to use as fuel for the industrial equipment
liz: so not party. definitely haunted. and kind of poetic. says something about society. lol
Yui: We actually don't have many ghost stories here so maybe you'll be fine hahaha
liz: no way. seems like the kind of place that's perfect for a good ghost story
Yui: I think we are all a bit too busy for that
Yui: Okay so maybe we have one or two. But I swear the desert is just weird. No ghosts needed! I'll take a creepy bird over a ghost any day
liz: i could beat a ghosts ass i think
Yui: How???
