We have all sorts of little "trails" near the ranch from people just walking around and making little paths form. I mean, sometimes you can barely see them, but they're there!!! You can tell that they're there because there's vegetation in areas that just ends, creating a line of dirty and sand. Is that a good guide?? I guesss something I think about often is just how people usually think of deserts as big ol dumps of sand and dust and more pebbles. But deserts actually have like a shit ton of grass!
I took one of the gremlins out recently for a walk and she did okay sort of! I mean, every single thing she picked up did eventually find its way into her mouth. Even though she is literally over 5 years old. I’m not saying her actual age because the internet is the internet. But over 5 years old is old enough to not put a used cigarette into your literal baby mouth!!!!! You aren’t teething what are you thinking!! Grrrr!!!

Anyways the grass is greener on the other side because as soon as I went alone on the trails for some peace and quiet away from my kids, I started to miss the company
Speaking of grass, the grass feeds the cattle on the ranch. We have to help rotate them because otherwise they like to pick their fave grazing areas and will poop and eat in the same places until there’s nothing left but cow manure and crippling depression and lots and lots of pests. Rotating the cows between pastures prevents that
We have a lot of land on the ranch where we keep the cows, and a lot more technically owned by the ranch further out. The limits are kinda unclear and the county doesn’t really enforce this. Considering building a Destiel shrine in the middle of the desert next time I go out because we kinda I guess can do that and I sometimes realize I have free will out here. Nothing can stop me from making bad decisions >:) Mwahahaha
