March 11th, 2014: Hello!
Ok so I think I finally got the HTML working to an at least semi semi semi functional functioning state. Thats good this is good and I think I should just slowwwlllyy back away from the keyssss
Haha just kidding im not doing all that work just to not blog about anything. Then we wouldnt have a blog! Just an empty hollow shell of an internet page
Hello Neocities! Im trying to be cool (uncool, total geek) on the internet so im trying out this new fancy personal blog format to see if something finally sticks. Alyssa if ur reading this this is all your fault you menace now I know HTML
No but I am grateful. I tried posting hiking stuff on my fandom Tumblr. Which was a silly idea because
I did not do that. I kept reblogging stuff. Fandom got me. Now im here so im not overly contemplating my tagging system or whatever. Go Neocities!

Well. It all started with my mom

No but my mom was great. She was the one who got me into hiking when I was a kid. Im not sure if what we did really counted as hiking but we’d go out and pick a direction and just walk out into the Arizona wilderness together. I kept it up as a hobby into as I grew up and she always told me I should post more about it but I just never got around to doing it
She passed from cancer last year and so I guess in one way or another this blog is for her or just in her memory because she always told me I should post more of my stuff online. No one really is huge on social media here but me so she always kind of pushed it anyway even after I tried to explain what Tumblr was to her. She was just kind of like that. She didn’t really get why the internet people were squealing over fictional characters. She just kind of thought there was an endless audience out there for me specifically lol
So yeah! Im finally starting that blog, mom!
And ok it’s not like anyone’s going to read it but me but I can write things here for me and that doesn’t mean there won’t maybe be a tiny audience for it even if it’s not the infinity audience like my mom believed in
The place im from is really beautiful actually so who knows maybe there is an audience out there. But. We don’t get many visitors these days so im not expecting much :p but if youre here somehow hi! It’s not all sad around here
When mom and I went out when I was a kid we’d point stuff out together and sometimes we’d make up landmarks if we didn’t know what one was because no one else really does all the way out here. We tried coming up with our own things so we could tell dad about it. Then I started mapping out trails for myself and exploring the surroundings and it just evolved into its own bigger hobby
So yeah. I blamed Alyssa for the HTML but I guess id also like to blame my mom for the idea and the passion haha :p
Also I guess something else I want from this is that this feels more “me” so I can just jot down my little notes and not have to worry about any format or anything
